I've kinda given up on publishing 'news' on the site, I find it easier just to let you get on with it on the Message Boards! Any news snippets I do have, I'll put on here, such as reports from the AGM etc., and I do occasionally pick up some juicy snippets on Match Day!

Fantasy Betting League

30th August, 2017

Writing this before the Falkirk game, hopefully, this won't have changed, but I am currently sitting top of The Fantasy Betting League!  Slightly luckily I have to admit as I received an e-mail from QOS1_STMIRREN1 after the Airdrie game because his bet of Queens to win 4-0, at odds of 25/1, had not updated his points.  Unfortunately for QOS1_STMIRREN1 , when I looked into it, he had rather pessimistically BET ON AIRDRIE TO WIN 4-0, so I retain my imperious position at the top of the league!  Meantime, Fantasy Betting League winner for about the last 20 years, middleagedirtbag, is giving everyone a start this year.

Pre-Season Round Up

12th July, 2017
Unfortunately, due to a Data Base fault, all my pre-season stories, including the one slagging Rangers and Gordon Smith after Rangers "embarrassed Scottish Football" by crashing out in the 1st Qualifying Round of the EUFA Cup to a side from Luxembourg (I'm still bitter!), have been lost, so I am adding this one as a reminder for the history books.

Pre Season Training

21st June, 2017

Queens have started pre-season training at a new base in Hamilton, which I'd think will be a much better compromise between the Dumfries based players and the Central Belt ones.  The first "pre-season" game is Derek Lyle's testimonial on Sunday, although I'm not sure how many of the current squad will be playing for the Queens side?  Unfortunately, I'm away on Sunday, so won't be able to make this match.

Season Round Up 2016/17

7th June, 2017

Once again Queens sat it out as the play-offs to decide who we will be playing against next season took place, Gary Naysmith has already made a couple of signings, and we have the basis of a squad for next season.

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 8

3rd June, 2017

Queens had enjoyed a great first third of the season, a terrible 2nd third, but had picked up again. What way would the rest of the season go?

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 7

31st May, 2017

With the transfer window now open, Gary Naysmith could start to bring in his own players, and get rid of some of the ones he didn't want, so could he finally end the long, winless run?

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 6

27th May, 2017

Gary Naysmith took over as manager for the game against St. Mirren on 6th December, 2016, a game which was now starting to look like a relegation 6 pointer. The former Everton and Scotland left back had a big job on his hands, but at least it was only a month until he would be able to bring his own players in.

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 5

24th May, 2017

With Gavin Skelton gone, Jim Thompson was put in temporary charge, assisted by former player Graeme Robertson, who had been working for Manchester City in China. Robertson was also Jason Cummings of Hibernian's Step Dad, but that signing never came off!

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 4

20th May, 2017

Jubilant Queens sat top of the Championship in the middle of September, and were looking forward to a League Cup Quarter Final visit to Ibrox to take on our "Old Rivals", sevco.  Last season Queens played Rangers when sitting top of the league, and went into free fall after a heavy defeat. Surely history would not repeat itself?

Season Review 2016/2017 Part 3

17th May, 2017

Despite an undefeated pre-season, and a decent run in the League Cup Group games, the mood was still pretty bleak around Palmerston as we prepared to travel to Tannadice Park, Dundee to kick of the league season. But a HUGE announcement on 3rd August, 2017, was to change all that.
