James Fowler
Difficult 2nd Season

By Stuart McLaren

With the loss of around 7 first team starters over the close season, it was never going to be an easy first full season in charge for James Fowler. Personally, I thought finishing 7th, but challenging for 5th right until the end, wasn't too bad, but it was possibly the style of play that was to cost James Fowler his job with a couple of games left to play.

2015/2016 - Consolidation

James Fowler had a though job in his first full season in charge, Queens had lost the majority of the successful team of the last 3 seasons, and a rebuilding job was required. For me it was always going to be a season to consolidate, Rangers were always going to throw as much money as it took at it to ensure they wouldn't have to spend a 3rd year in the Championship, and with Hibs also still down, it looked like 3rd was probably the best we could ever achieve, and I personally didn't think it was worth spending much on achieving this target

What I would have like through was for us to keep playing the way we had for the last 3 seasons, but unfortunately, Fowler went very negative, and I believe it was this, rather than the finishing position, which was to cost him his job.

Site wise, for the 6th year running, I cannot recall making any major changes.
